The Edge Arts Centre
The Edge Arts Centre is situated in the grounds of William Brookes School in Much Wenlock in Shropshire. The centre hosts a wide variety of arts events in two studios and a lecture theatre.

Sultan Stevenson
The Edge had something of a coup when the award-winning Jazz pianist and composter Sultan Stevenson came to Much Wenlock for the second gig of his UK tour on 1 February 2025. Accompanying him were basist Jacob Gryn and Matt Holmes on drums.
West End Comes to Wenlock
This fund-raising event for Severn Hospice was held on 11 October 2024 and featured Chris and Lucy Key, Jessie Hart, Erica Ann Deakin and the Key Change Choir
Tommy Blaize
A lead singer on Strictly Come Dancing for 20 years, on 5 April 2025 Tommy Blaize entertained the audience at The Edge Arts Centre last night with an engaging mixture of song, anecdote and autobiography of his 50 Years in Music, also playing keys, guitars and ukulele. Hopefully, the attached give a flavour of the evening.




Carismatico Tango
This superb show on 8 March 2025 comprised classic Tango with the additional compositions by accordion virtuoso Karen Street, with the evocative vocals of Guillermo Rosenthuler and the passionate dancing of Tango stars, Richard Manuel and Tamsyn Webb. Andy Tweed (saxes and clarinet), Yshani Perinpanayagam (piano), Dave Mannington (bass) and Will Riley (drums and vibes) completed the ensemble.



Room by Emul8 Theatre
The Edge Arts Centre has two main studios, the smaller of which provides an intimate setting which was used to great effect on 7 June 2025 for Heather Alexander’s one woman show about Virginia Woolf.
Sally Jones - as Edith Piaf
Sally Jones brought her part-song, part-biography Edith Piaf show to The edge on 12 October 2024.





Much Wenlock Extravaganza
On 14 February 2025 Band on the Edge and the Much Wenlock Male Voice Choir combined to celebrate our local community with an evening of fun and music. Profits from the event were donated to the local Food Bank


Make Much Wenlock Weird #1
Tom Whiston brought electronic music to The Edge on 9 November 2024 which a show that featured Loula Yorke and Lucifer Sky.






Make Much Wenlock Weird #2
Tom Whiston brought more electronic music to The Edge on 11 January 2025 which a show that featured Hawthonn (Phil and Layal Legard) and Haress (Chris Summerlin, David Hand, Elizabeth Still and David Smyth).






Comedy Club
The Edge features a regular Comedy Club. 30 November 2024 featured Mitch Benn, Sachin Kumarendran and Shazia Mirza with Dom Hatton-Wood as MC
